Motor Vehicle Maintenance and Repair (Light) - Level 2 and Level 3 Modern Apprenticeship


Typically employment will be with a local motor vehicle garage working on light vehicles (up to 7 tonnes – normally passenger cars and light vans).

Description:
Typical duties will include servicing, maintenance, diagnosis and repair of light vehicles.

Duration:
The programme will take 2 yrs for a L2MA & a further 2yrs to achieve a L3MA.

Delivery:
  • Block release to Moray Firth Training Group in Inverness (6 weeks per year for 3 years)
  • Workplace assessments
  • Compilation of Portfolio of Evidence and workbooks

  • Qualifications you will acquire:
  • Level 2 MA in Light Vehicle Maintenance & Repair or
  • Level 3 MA in Light Vehicle Maintenance & Repair

  • Personal qualities, skills and qualifications:
  • Ideally applicants should have National 4 or General Standard Grade and above in subjects such as Maths, Physics, Graphical Communications, and Craft and Design
  • To be good with your hands, think logically and be able to solve practical problems
  • Have an aptitude for mechanical principles and can work as part of a team
