Electrical Engineering Level 3 Modern Apprenticeship

Electrical engineering duties include: maintaining electrical equipment, modifying and rewiring circuits, carrying out preventative maintenance, fault diagnosis, installing and testing electrical equipment.

You will attend NAFC Marine Centre for one acadmic year (Sept - June) leading to an SVQ Level 2 in Performing Engineering Operation and a National Certificate. Level 2 units include working safety, use of technical information, marking out, fitting, machining and welding. NC units include Maths, Computing, Assembly Skills, Maintenance, Pneumatics, Hydraulics, Health & Safety, Engineering Maths and C.I engines.

  • Compilation of Portfolio of Evidence

Qualifications you will acquire:

  • Level 2 Performing Engineering Operations
  • Level 3 Engineering Maintenance (Electrical)
  • Modern Apprenticeship in Engineering
  • NC in Electrical Engineering

Personal qualities, skills and qualifications:

  • Ideally applicants should have an interest in Engineering
  • Good co-ordination and dexterity is essential
  • Applicants must be physically able for a range of practical tasks involved
  • A mature outlook and willingness to work as part of a team are essential
