Jim's Garage is looking for a Vehicle Parts apprentice to work across their dealership garages. The position will be based in the Ford/Mazda Garage in Lerwick but may be shared with other sites. Training will take place at the Toyota training academy as well as onsite training during the apprenticeship. The successful candidate will work towards their SVQ 3 in Vehicle Parts Operations.

Candidates will be required to have 4-5 years of general education. Qualifications in Maths, English, Sciences and Technologies at National 4 or National 5 would be advantageous. We are looking for people with good customer service skills, self-confidence and an interest in motor vehicles. You would make sure customers get the parts they need to fix their car, van or other vehicles. You'd work with individuals, garages and car dealerships. You'd give advice on spares, collect all the items together for an order and then deliver the parts to the customer.
