Apprentice Receptionist/Administration Assistant - Harper Macleod LLP, Lerwick

We have a potential opportunity for a trainee receptionist/administration assistant to provide front of house and administrative support in our busy Lerwick office, an exciting opportunity to start your career with one of Scotland's largest law firms. The position will be offered as an apprenticeship position so you will get the opportunity to work towards your SVQ2 and/or SVQ3 in Business Administration. The qualification will be delivered through Train Shetland and will take 1-2 years to achieve.

Amongst a variety of other tasks, the position would involve:

  • Meeting and greeting clients.
  • Handling incoming calls and enquiries.
  • General administration and secretarial duties.
  • Assisting with events and hospitality.

Particular skills required would include:

  • Confident and professional yet personable manner
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and writing
  • Excellent IT and typing skills
  • Ability to use initiative
  • Attention to detail
